ilearntamil.com is a one-stop spot for learning Tamil online. Tamil is a classical Dravidian language natively spoken by the Tamil people of the Indian subcontinent. Tamil is an official language of the Indian state of Tamil Nadu, the nations of Sri Lanka and Singapore, and the Indian Union Territory of Puducherry. iLearnTamil focuses on teaching Tamil to students worldwide. Tutoring and training for written and spoken Tamil are done online via Skype. Their curriculum is curated separately for kids and adults. Founded by two women entrepreneurs, their client base includes children and adults from countries like the US, the UK, Germany, the Philippines, etc.

Being the number one tutor for online Tamil, iLearnTamil had thousands of students and teachers. Managing the classes, assigning staff to students, collecting payments, etc. With a rich web presence, the next logical step for them was to build a mobile application that would solve these problems and improve their branding. With these pointers, iLearnTamil approached Protorix to develop their mobile application for Android and iOS.
